Description
1873. Great condition only one fold at the coupon line. With 60 attached coupons. Bond shipped flat...otherwise called the SEPTA (South East Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) R8 line,
no longer in use due to the transit authority's insistence that there was no longer enough
traffic on the line to justify the expense. This line at one time was part of the Reading
Company and saw Camelbacks and RDC's. The RDC's continued on through the 80's under SEPTA
until one was involved in a firery accident which was the death knell for the line which
saw it's last train on January 14, 1983 ending 107 years of rail service between Newtown,
PA (Just North East of Trenton, NJ) and Philadelphia's center city
