I bought this 1961 Peugeot 403 when the first and only owner had to go to an old folks home. She was 93 years old at that point and had parked the car decades earlier under a carport away from the weather (the hot sun that is, pretty much the only weather we have here in southern Arizona). She drove it last in the mid 70's.
Nobody could find the title so please note, the car is sold on a bill of sale, no title. Ebay does not have a place to note "no title" so I had to click on clear title but, the car does NOT have a title.
Here in Arizona we can apply for a bonded title, it is not expensive and not difficult, I assume most states offer the same service.
I have had it sitting in my backyard for the last 10 years or so waiting for me to have time to redo the brakes, clean the fuel tank etc so it can be driven again. So far I have not had time to do that!
The lady had bad aim so there's a fair amount of dings and dents but there is almost no rust on the car. I'd say it is at least 99% rust free.
The paint is not great, original paint since 1961 so there's nothing hidden or bondoed over. The interior is very dry and the plastic steering wheel has totally dried up.
I don't think it would take much go turn the Peugeot into a driver again. I'd love to do that but I'm getting old and I still have more projects than I have time for.
The car is in my backyard in down town Phoenix, Arizona. If sold out of state I'll move it to the street so it can be loaded on a trailer.
I also have a complete front clip, everything from the windshield and forward including the dash, diesel engine, transmission, hood, fenders etc from a Peugeot 403 wagon I parted out in Sweden and I sent the parts to Arizona.
At the same time I also had a tinted windshield custom made in Europe and sent to Arizona.
I'd sell the front clip with diesel engine etc for 0, it is NOT included in this auction and 0 for the new windshield.
It is a no reserve auction so the higest bidder will own the Peugeot.
Please only bid on the car if you are willing and albe to pay should you win the auction.
