This is a wonderful
Netherlands
earthenware, magnificent plate /divided plate made by the renowned Dutch factory Regina in Gouda, crafted and decorated following the style of Henri Breetvelt, with yellow, lilac, and white flowers and leaves on a creamy ground on top of the brown colored earthenware. Signed by the artist Ronny and fully marked with incised and painted marks.
Measures 24 cm diameter.
An absolute most for collectors!
Henri Leonardus August Breetvelt (Delft, 1864 – Gouda, 1923) was one of the most important designers and artists at Zuid-Holland. He also worked at Porceleinfabriek De Kroon in Noordwijk. Henri died in 1923 but even after his death Zuid-Holland continued using his designs, giving them the name "Decor Breetvelt.
