This custom Jonathan McNees “Ankylos” is a rare, and unique example of the fine work that this craftsman can produce. The piece is in nearly new condition, and has a very smooth opening and shutting action. The blade centering is perfect, there is an early lock up, and the detailing and workmanship is impeccable. Attention to detail is superb, a “hammered” pattern has been implemented on the pivot, flipper facing, interior and near end of the lock bar. A subtle “splatter” effect in light blue and tan has been accomplished by anodizing the front titanium handle as well as the pocket clip.
Jimping on the top rear of the blade adds for finger positioning if utilized for detailed cutting tasks.
Weight is 3.7 ounces, and with an overall slim build, this would be an ideal luxury show piece for carrying.
The beautiful, zippered pouch shown, with an interior carrying slot is included.
