Silicon Carbide Ceramic Plate(s) being sold on this listing just encapsulated with Linex Paxcon Polyurea Hybrid or other alternative high quality truck bedliner coating, will stop 5.56 x 45mm M855, M193, and 7.62 x 39 msc at a stand off distance of approximately 50+ ft when placed in front of a Level IIIA vest as a strike face material. Encapsulated Boron Carbide plates will produce higher threat defeat / multi hit performance at a lower weight
Could be placed inside school book bag pockets with lesser of the lamination above, and will stop 5.56 x 45mm M855, M193 and 7.62 x 39mm mild steel core at a distance of 25 feet, multiple impacts, stand alone (no books in front or back) within a reasonable distance between shots
Finished E-Glass backed ceramic plate size 11" X 13.25" with 8-10 layers of 24 oz E-Glass woven roving weighs 6.4 - 7.0 lbs (including 500 denier nylon spall cover and strike face foam), Multi-Hit at 25 feet distance
