These 11x14"  soft inserts are
level IIIa ,
milstd 622f fragmentation rated and stab resistant construction
Great for handgun and frag protection in any plate carrier with 11x14" pockets.  Besides being light, about 17 ounces, these inserts are soft and just over 1/4" thick. They are made of
military grade kevlar and spectra
for really good stopping power for fragments and point blank shots (such as .44 magnum), and less blunt trauma,  and are thinner and lighter than standard kevlar.

.   And these are perfect to use in your plate carrier if you use  rifle plates. Nearly all rifle plates have to have IIIa armor behind them to provide their rated protection. If "stand alone" isn't marked on your rifle then it needs soft armor behind it, and this includes military plates.   They are also great for backpacks, bugout bags and about anywhere else.
