original 1930s leather skull cap motorcycle/aviation/military?

Description

original 1930s 40s Canadian used leather skull cap maybe for motorcycle use or aviation, the leather is in excellent condition, it is wool lined.it is named to M.LACHANCE.the inside of the ear pieces are marked Patented ?, but hard to see.there is no size markings, but flat on the table, it is 11 inches across,looks like medium.
