This is not a cheaper PE helmet. This is a genuine, fully built-out aramid bullet resistant helmet at the full NIJ IIIA level (.44 Magnum).
We are warning eBay buyers to carefully consider purchasing 100% PE helmets advertised to stop .44 Magnum rounds.  See the video at the end of this listing.  These cheap helmets are a "race to the bottom" of the pricing game and they are dangerous.
IMPORTANT: When measuring your head circumference, please make sure the tape is tight. Variations of 1/2" or more can result in low accuracy for correct helmet size.

We have worked relentlessly with manufacturers to source and build only the most reliable products.  Our helmets are made from aramid (Kevlar®).  This greatly increases dependability, effectiveness and backface deformation as compared to some online PE helmets!  We test our manufacturing batches to guarantee quality.
Some comments about helmets in general. After being in this business (in law enforcement and via online sales) since 2000, I come across a lot of misinformation about helmets.  Keep in mind a few things, please:  1.  You are purchasing a basic helmet... and it's a good, solid aramid helmet.  2. UHMWPE helmets (non-military grade) usually have
higher backface deformations
than aramid helmets. We have tested them at the range over and over again.
Most PE helmets on eBay will not stop the .44 Magnum
. 3. If you are purchasing a helmet in this price range that claims to stop "rifle" rounds - take a look at the tested
velocities.
They are generally at velocities that are similar (or less than) handgun rounds.  For these basic reasons, non-military grade aramid helmets are still superior to PE helmets, especially at the basic helmet level. A lighter helmet does not automatically mean a better helmet! That's like saying "I have a very stylish, light flak jacket."

Return Policy:
We accept returns for unworn items (other than trying them on). However, due to the cost of shipping, the shipping costs must be paid by the buyer.  We take photos of all shipments.  We offer buyers a 10% discount on any other item that we well as an aid in offsetting shipping costs for items returned for sizing.  Face shields are manufactured in one size only. If your item fails to be delivered once because no one was there to accept it, authorization will be granted to allow the delivery to be left at the door (in accordance with ebay delivery policy).
Feedback Policy:
We do not leave feedback until we know that the item has been successfully delivered and all communication about the transaction has been completed.  If you are satisfied with your item and the transaction, please leave positive feedback.
Shipping Policy:
We print shipping labels every weekday morning at 10 AM Central time.  If your order arrives after this time, it will be included in the following day's shipment. We strive to use USPS Priority shipping (75%-80% average).  In certain cases (especially shipping to the west coast), we reserve the right to choose our own shipping method, should USPS Priority Mail be 30% or more than FedEx Home Delivery or UPS Ground.  Thanks for your understanding.
Restocking Policy:
During certain times of the year, our inventory sells out very quickly.  If inventories are depleted, rest assured that we are working to build up additional stock.  This can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks.

Sizes: Head circumference at forehead (just above eyes): Small: 20"-21" Medium 21"-22" Large: 22” - 24” XL: 24” or more.
If your size lands on the maximum size for that variant, please choose the smaller size.  For example if you have a 22" head circumference, please choose the medium size.
Important note about sizing! Please measure your head circumference TIGHTLY and while wearing any caps, liners etc. that you anticipate using.
Sizes listed and their associated measurements assume that the helmet will be worn over the bare head.
If you helmet is a little bit loose - we recommend purchasing some 1" MICH helmet pads. There are various providers on eBay.

*WARNING:
We have tested some competitors' PE helmets advertised to stop .44 magnum rounds.  In our tests, PE helmets have a hard time achieving NIJ backface deformation limits and often will not stop .44 magnum rounds!  We recently tested PE helmets at the range and the result was that two PE helmets were penetrated by the .44 magnum.  Our Kevlar® helmets trap the projectile, dispersing energy over a larger area.  Aramid is more effective in hard armor helmet applications, while PE can be utilized for soft armor where backface deformation can be controlled with foam, padding, gels and other materials. Hard armor plates can also be made with PE, especially when thick enough and cooperatively engaged with ceramics. Take care before purchasing one of these cheap PE helmets! See the end of this description for a video of failed testing of poorly made helmets with the .44 Magnum.
