Presented for your consideration is this neat antique tea strainer. The hand held, silverplate strainer is shaped like a spoon with a strainer scoop and a figural handle. The handle is in the shape of what looks to be an Oriental man dressed in traditional clothing. An ornate pattern is between the man's feet and the top of the scoop. The outer edge of the scoop has a leaf-like design around it. At the very bottom of the scoop are two small hooks that act as a rest. Back of the handle is detailed to look like the back of the man and the design shown on the front. The strainer is solid and in usable condition. There are no markings to indicate a manufacturer. This unusual strainer would make a great addition to any tea item collection or neat to use!
Light bending is around the outer rim of the scoop. Typical wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 5 3/8" long, 2 1/8" wide at the scoop and 3/8" wide at the handle.
