Description
This listing is for a beautiful McBurnette Engraved Midlock Folding Knife with an ivory scale.The knife features a mirror polished blade with a single nail nick. The handle has engraved forward and rear dovetailed silver nickel bolsters, fancy engraving on the blade spine, backspacer and liners with engraving on the blade, as well.
There is a silver nickel oval escutcheon in the middle of the front ivory scale.
Perfect lockup, function and blade seating. Excellent condition. There are some very small surface scratches on the blade that can only be seen in the right light and there is a small 1/2" hairline fracture on the handle near the bottom silver bolster on the back side.
The knife is 8 1/4" open, the blade is 3 1/4" long and the knife is 4 3/4" closed. It weighs 7 ounces.
McBurnette is considered one of the legendary knife makers in the U.S. He began making knives in Gadsden, AL and then moved to New Mexico for health reasons. This listing is for one of the knife's that he made in AL.
Harvey McBurnette passed away in 1997.
